2023 KTM 390 ADVENTURE LOADED WITH SPOKED RIMS | MANUFACTURER NEWS

New 2023 KTM 390 Adventure steps up its off-road ability with the addition of a spoked-wheel edition.

KTM has revealed its 2023 390 Adventure with the new entry-level adventure machine not only getting a fresh look but also beefed-up offroad ability with the addition of a set of spoked wheels rather than the cast aluminium wheels of the previous model , plus a suite of rider aids.
The 390 Adventure uses a compact 4-stroke 373cc single-cylinder engine featuring twin overhead camshafts, four valves, a balancer shaft and electronic FI and is capable of pumping out a claimed 32kW (44hp) of power and 37Nm of torque at 7000rpm. Two catalytic converters ensure the system breathes within Euro5 emission targets while the fuel tank (14.5-litre) vapor design also boosts the eco-friendliness of the 390 Adventure.

The latest iteration of the 390 Adventure features ride-by-wire, traction control, cornering ABS, an Offroad mode (more rear wheel slip) and linked Offroad ABS (disengaged on the rear, reduced on the front), 46mm throttle body and a slipper clutch. The rider aids are controlled via a 5-inch colour TFT display and intuitive handlebar switch.

A steel trellis design and subframe construction is claimed to offer an excellent blend of both feel, flex and long-term comfort, and the 390’s WP Suspension APEX hardware is adjustable for compression, rebound and preload.

The biggest news on the chassis front is undoubtedly the addition of lightweight black anodized spoked aluminum wheels (19” front and 17” rear) on the ‘spoked wheel’ edition, raising the off-road credibility of the new mini adventure machine.

The Adventure’s new bodywork is said to offer greater protection, while the two-tier seat can be removed to reveal storage space, and even be swapped out with other versions from KTM’s PowerParts catalogue. LED lights, a two position screen, wide footpegs and Brembo BYBRE brakes (320 front and 230mm rear discs with four-piston calipers on the front) round out what is arguably one of the most advanced small-capacity adventure bikes on the market.
