Dutchman Cor Dees has long been a fan of Laverda, and his collection of over 80 bikes and items of agricultural equipment, brochures, film and print documentation are on display in a purpose-built facility outside the rural Dutch town of Lisse, about 40km from Amsterdam. Cor has had a deep involvement with the marque and was able to purchase many of the bikes and associated paraphernalia directly from the factory itself over many years.

Not all Laverdas were orange! A blue 1984 1000RGA stands out among the many road-going triples and big twins on show. And a fully optioned red 1000RGS makes a spectacular sight above them. In the background can be seen the line-up of racers that includes one of the three remaining ’75 Space Frame triple endurance bikes (second and third at Spa that year), an SFC, the Sulzbacher monocoque 1200 triple, the sole example of Laverda’s brief interest in grand prix – the 1990 125cc – and a ’78 500 Formula Mk II.

Oh, and the 1000cc V6 too.
