Yamaha welcomes baby T-MAX | NEWS

Yamaha has added a sporty 300cc scooter to its Aussie range. The XMAX 300, like its pioneering larger cousin, is packed with technology.

It uses a Euro-4 compliant 292cc single which, thanks to real-time 3D fuel and ignition mapping, is hugely fuel efficient according to Yamaha.

It doesn’t say anything about power or torque outputs, but if you’re after a frugal 300cc scoot we guess they’re not a priority.

It does boast traction control, ABS and employs a keyless ignition system.

The under-seat storage bin will take a couple of full-face lids.

It’s low and light with a seat height of 795mm and it weighs 179kg fully fuelled and ready to go. It’s available in Quasar Bronze or Lunar Grey and it’ll set you back $6999 (plus on-road costs).
