Sydney 5 Hour Endurance Race – St George Motorcycle Club | EVENTS

Endurance Motorcycle racing is set to burst back onto the Sydney scene with the inaugural Sydney 5 Hour Endurance Race at Sydney Motor Sport Park on Sunday 29th July 2018.

Presented by the St George Motorcycle Club, 44 teams will be contesting the event which will be a challenge of skill, strategy, durability and rider fitness.

Interest in the event extends right across Australia with Malcolm (Wally) Campbell leading the charge of the interstaters (managing the Honda Genuine Parts Team). World Supersport rider Lachlan Epis will team up with ASBK rider Ted Collins to present a formidable challenge. NZ superbike champion Robbie Bugden and Kevin Reilly (ex-BSB) will add international team interest to the event. Queenslander Linden Magee and Tasmania’s Scott Campbell will be chasing victory to keep the winners trophy on Australian soil.

But the boys won’t have it all their own way as Meri Malena’s (Moto Power Girls Dream Team) are not just along for the ride.

The Sydney 5 Hour Endurance Race will be a spectators’ dream with competitors taking off with a Le Mans start. Spectators will have access to all viewing areas around the circuit. The main grandstand will provide an excellent vantage point for spectators to observe all the action in Pit Lane.

Earlier in the day the Formula St George 90, a 90 minute endurance race with 30 teams of up-and-coming riders on smaller capacity bikes will be challenging each other for the inaugural victory.

All the action starts at 8:30am with the Sydney 5 Hour Endurance Race starting at 11:30am
