Modern adventure
A lot has changed in the off-road boot industry over the past few years with the ever-increasing interest in adventure riding. The emphasis is now just as much on comfort as protection; it’s no use having ultra-safe footwear if it offers the manoeuvrability of ski boots.
With the launch of Ducati’s Desert Sled approaching, I required a pair of adventure boots that were comfortable, good looking and offered adequate protection. The new Sidi Adventure 2 Gore-Tex boots ticked all the boxes.
As you can see at http://amcn.com.au/editorial/13538/ , these boots have already had a decent workout, protecting my lower limbs during a full day of riding in almost freezing conditions through Spain’s Tabernas Desert. The Adventure 2 boots proved to be warm and extremely comfortable. However, a single ride does not make a product test at AMCN. Over the next couple of weeks, I will be heading bush for a few more rides to put more miles on the Sidi product. If they continue to perform as well as they did in Spain they will be my boot of choice for our mid-winter Adventure Bike Comparo.
