For sale: 58 signed GP champs’ lids

The upcoming sale of 58 Grand Prix and MotoGP World champions’ helmets ends a 27-year odyssey for a self-confessed racing tragic. Rosco Holden, a long-term supporter of Australian motorcycling, will use the proceeds to fund a major new project aimed at preserving our off-road racing history. The collection, valued at around $180,000, starts with a 1971 AGV Agostini helmet signed by the great man, all the way through to a 2014 Marc Marquez Shoei signed by the champion and his crew chief Bruno Leoni. There’s also five Mick Doohan Arais and seven Valentino Rossi AGVs co-signed by their Legendary Team Manger Jeremy Burgess, as well as lids worn by Kenny Roberts Snr, Eddie Lawson and Wayne Rainey.
