RST Titanium Outlast Gloves- RST bills this as a four season glove owing to the space age technology used in the lining called ‘Outlast’. This revolutionary material utilises phase change molecules to assist in thermal regulation by storing or releasing heat molecules to maintain a stable climate. It was originally developed by NASA and basically works to keep your digits cool in summer and warm in winter. Sounds too good to be true I know, but you really have to try it to believe it.
Another great benefit of using Outlast is that they only need a relatively thin layer of insulation so still offer great feel on the controls. The only issue I encountered was that they stain up after being lashed with road grime and dirt, but the outers are both hardwearing and high tech so it doesn’t affect performance or longevity from what I can see.
These gloves have done a superb job in the colder months so I’m really looking forward to seeing how they perform when the sun comes out and temperatures rise. In reality, they’ve outperformed more expensive winter gloves that I’ve tried in the past, and the design and construction of this glove is so good that I’m confident they’ll be with me for several seasons to come in rain, hail or shine.
