The 100th anniversary of America’s second oldest motor sport event, the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb featured a week long series of practice session culminating in Official Qualifying for the motorcycle division on Friday June 24. It was a thrilling shoot out between the Victory factory duo of Don Canet on the electric version and Jeremy Toye on the Project 156 vee twin, and Australian rookie Rennie Scaysbrook on the KTM 1290R.  After three runs where the lead see sawed between Don and Rennie, the KTM rider unleashed a sensational run of 4 minutes  14 seconds to grab the top spot for Sunday’s historic “Race to the Clouds”.
