AUSSIE MOTOGP IS AROUND THE CORNER!

With less than 50 days to go until the Michelin Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, now is the time to grab your mates and head down to the Island for an epic, adrenalin fuelled weekend away!

The Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix is a highlight on the Australian sporting calendar, and the iconic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit has seen both thrills and spills during its celebrated history and is a favourite amongst riders.

Some of the biggest names in MotoGP have reflected on what they love most about the Phillip Island circuit, their favourite corners of the track and also the Aussie animals they wish to see while they’re down under.

Marc Marquez

“Especially the last corners are really nice. Last corners, left corners, third gear, fourth gear.”

Dani Pedrosa

“The last two corners are my favourite part. It’s all the time on the left, and especially on the last corner you go up and then down along the main straight. It’s quite impressive to watch.”

“I’ve seen a kangaroo and a koala. Usually the koala looks more calm than the kangaroo. I’m too scared about snakes.”

Jack Miller

“I love turn three. It’s unreal. I think turn four is pretty good as well. And racing, I love it up there. Definitely a fun circuit.”

“I grew up in North Queensland, we’ve got the poisonous ones (snakes) up there.”

Valentino Rossi

“Very much 6, 7, 8 and 9 and the hair pin. All that part, so section three.”

Maverick Vinales

“It’s incredible. The first corner and also the last corner. It’s so incredible.”

“I don’t want to find any snakes. Not even a spider”

Scott Redding

“I like Lukey Heights. You come in there, you can’t even see where you’re going. You come over the crest and down. That’s really my favourite part.”

“I was going to hold a koala; they look like they’re friendly but on the same token they’ve just got something in their eye where I’m just not sure about it. So I try to stay away from Australian animals and I don’t really want to come across any spiders or snakes.”

Jorge Lorenzo

“Ah probably, it would be the last corner.”

“Last year I saw a koala for the first time. Kangaroo I saw one of the first years I came here. I like kangaroo more, because the koala is too quiet for me. No snakes.”

Now is the time to grab your mates, snap up epic tickets and enjoy the ultimate MotoGP™ experience. How often do you get the chance to watch the world’s best riders fight it out at the scenic Phillip Island circuit?
