Marquez to test a Formula 1 car | MOTOGP | SPORT

The Red Bull Ring hosts as the six-time World Champion prepares to get behind the wheel of a Toro Rosso

On the 5th of June, Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) will be taking to the track once again after Mugello but this time, the reigning MotoGP Champion won’t be on a bike…he’ll be in an F1 car. Like Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) and Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) before him, Marquez will be trading two wheels for four in the one-off event.

The spectacular Red Bull Ring in Austria is the host for Marquez’ first foray into F1, when he’ll be driving a Toro Rosso – the Honda-powered sister team to multiple-time World Champions Red Bull Racing. There will be a few famous faces present, too, including multiple Grand Prix winner and former Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber and Austrian racing legend Niki Lauda, F1 World Champion in 1975, 1977 and 1984.

Fans can also go to the event, with free entry to any of the open grandstands on the day!
