Jarno in bronze | NEWS

A statue of 1972 world 250cc champion Jarno Saarinen was recently unveiled in the Finn’s hometown of Turku. The statue, which now stands in Barker Park on the mouth of the River Aura, was donated by the Moto Club Jarno Saarinen of Petrignano di Assisi, Italy. Saarinen was dominating the 1973 world 250cc and 500cc standings for Yamaha when both he and Renzo Pasolini were killed in a crash at Monza.
