Jacket Drive: Melbourne gets drop-off event | EVENTS

Australia’s homeless look set to be a whole lot warmer this winter as AMCN’s Winter Jacket Drive continues to grow

Inspired by the generosity of AMCN readers, we’re excited to add a Victorian mobile drop-off to the annual New South Wales event. It’s a chance for generous motorcyclists to hand in their donations in person, say hello to the Jacket Drive team … and get out for a ride.

While the usual drop-off will be held at the Robertson Pie Shop in the Southern Highlands on Saturday 24 June, the Melbourne-based event will take place the following day on Sunday 25 June at Café Moto, located at 611 Nepean Highway, Carrum. Both drop-off events will kick off at 10am. If your riding kit’s getting a bit tired, trade up and donate – it’s for a great cause.

We’re also accepting jackets at the usual locations http://amcn.com.au/editorial/16114/ until 27 June but, if you live in New South Wales or Victoria and fancy turning your donation into a beaut excuse for ride, mark the Jacket Drive drop-off in your diary. And far be it from us to fan the flames of interstate rivalry, but we often see some fine and exotic metal at these events – we wonder which one will have a better turn-out…
