Jack Miller at home and race ready | MOTOGP | SPORT

Jack Miller has arrived in Australia as he looks to return from injury on home soil at this weekend’s Michelin Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2017.

Miller injured his right leg in a training accident earlier this month, ruling him out of this weekend’s Japanese GP.

The Aussie rider, who fractured his tibia when he put his foot down to prevent a slow-speed crash, believes he will be fit enough to ride at Phillip Island.

“I probably could have ridden Japan, but I didn’t want to be on the back foot for Phillip Island if it started swelling up there,” Miller told Speedcafe.com.

“I have given it an extra week and I will go to Phillip Island physically fit. I will just try and do the best I can.”

Miller, who has been replaced by Hiroshi Aoyama at EG 0,0 Marc VDS Honda for the Japanese GP, will continue to undergo physiotherapy.

“As soon as I found out my leg was broken, my main worry was how long it was going to take because the Australian Grand Prix is the one race of the year I really don’t want to miss,” he added.
