Saw the post about 25 years – still miss seeing Ken W at the AMCN Island Classic and the awesome “Banter” on the Friday night functions which were very successful attempts and counter attempts to embarrass various people myself, Keith Higgs, James Clark, Craig Smith and many others. Much planning would go into how we could get Ken and vice versa….I still have an Elite Member of the Ken Wootton Fan Club T-Shirt!
Alas I can’t claim 25 years attendance, but my record in 2018 will be 17 consecutive trips from NZ for the event – I think this will be a record for the most attendances by an international . No other Kiwi has made all the trips we have put together (2002-2018). The UK team only started coming in 2005.
After 16 years of riding a TZ350 at the event, and finally picking up a top three in the P5 500 class in 2017, I’m coming back with my TZ750 for 2018 and having a bit of fun with the big one.
