Jack Miller is running his race number 43 in black at Mugello for the Italian GP as a tribute to Nicky Hayden, the 2006 MotoGP world champion who died following a cycling accident.
Hayden’s number 69 is part of the black 43 on Miller’s bike.
“It is out of respect for Nicky, a really, really cool dude and it’s a real shame he is no longer with us, it is a big loss for me,” Miller said.
“I still have the photo he signed for me with the message ‘To Jack, looking forward to watching your journey.”
