Aussies Jack Miller (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Honda) and Mike Jones (Avintia Racing Ducati) have ensured they will line up for tomorrow’s Japanese Motorcycle Grand Prix at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit. Miller claimed 14th position in his first ride back from injury, while Mike Jones completed his debut MotoGP qualifying session just 0.130 seconds behind his much more experienced Avintia Racing teammate Loris Baz, claiming 21st grid position.
