Australian sidecar racer Dwight Beare has died following an accident during last night’s opening Isle of Man TT Sidecar race.

Dwight’s passenger Ben Binns, an Isle of Man resident, was airlifted to the local Hospital and his condition is described as stable.

Details are sill limited, but early reports suggest he 27-year-old Melbournian, who has been living on the Isle of Man, was involved in an accident near Rhencullen. The race was immediately red flagged.

Beare made a stunning TT debut in 2014. Accompanied by his father Noel riding as passenger, then pair scored a stunning 12th place finish in only their second race.
