A wheelie record | NEWS

Wheelie record broken last month 1 May 2017

Japanese rider Masaru Abe broke a 25-year-old world record when he wheelied a Yamaha Jog for a total of 500km on Monday 1 May. It took Abe more than 13 hours to smash the previous record of 310km (making trials legend Dougie Lampkin’s 60.7km effort look slightly lame) using an innovative quick-release dry-coupling fuel dock mounted on the handlebar, which he’d switch out mid-wheelie in order to not run out of fuel. Yes, wheelie and twooly.
