2019 Honda CB650R Continues Honda’s Neo-Retro Lineup | NEWS

Milan’s EICMA show is the biggest of the year and Honda has opted to use it for its main new model reveals, with the middleweight CB650 leading its charge for 2019

The Honda CB650R, originally dubbed as one of the Neo Sports Cafe concept bikes has now been placed into the production category and will be replacing the CB650F for 2019. There will be no 2019 CB650F from Honda.

The engine is straight from the CB650F, while the chassis, albeit with a new cast section around the swingarm pivot, and most components look familiar.

The styling takes its cues from the CB1000R, CB300R and CB125R, launched simultaneously last November. Like this trio of CB-R models, the latest Neo Sports Cafe concept features upside-down forks and radial calipers. The new wheels on the CB650R are more traditional. Instead of the swirling spokes found on the CB650F last year, the 2019 Honda CB650R had straight spokes
