January
It was 17 years between drinks, but Australia celebrated a hero when Toby Price defied the odds to claim the last podium place at the notoriously difficult Dakar Rally in his debut year, and secondly, for the first time ever those Poms won the International Challenge at the AMCN Island Classic.

February
We bust BMW testing a 300cc single-cylinder nakedbike.

March
March was the first of many times we would capture Triumph testing the 1200cc replacement of its mainstay Bonneville model.

April
AMCN gets wind of the fact that Suzuki has a brand-new GSX-R1000 in the works and we get our hands on the best pics yet of BMW’s still yet-to-be revealed six-cylinder bagger.

May
AMCN gets a world exclusive on the jaw-dropping Australian-made 2000cc PGM V8 capable of 334hp. It’s hand built, production ready and could be yours for $228K.

June
It was all about electric power in June this year. Yamaha, Suzuki and Victory all announced electric-powered offerings in some form, while Kiwi start-up company Ubco unveiled a clever two-wheel drive prototype.

July
Valentino Rossi took his third win of the season and his eighth successive podium and AMCN launched the first of its themed issues with the successful and collectible Adventure Issue.

August
We break the news that Kawasaki is working on a replacement for the bike already dominating the World Superbike Championship.

September
We bust Ducati testing what will be one of this year’s show-stoppers at EICMA when we capture pics of it testing the XDiavel in near-finished form and uncover patents which reveal Suzuki is eyeing off a 300hp turbocharged hybrid Superbike.

October
AMCN breaks the news that Kawasaki has a supercharged 600cc machine on the way and MotoGP fans the world over are left open-mouthed by the epic racing at the epically beautiful Phillip Island Circuit.

November
BMW’s S 1000 XR is named AMCN’s Motorcycle of the Year and Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi make headlines with their schoolyard bickering both on and off the track.

December
Cam Donald and Davo Johnson are announced as the first-ever all-Australian team set to race in the 2016 Isle of Man TT aboard Norton machinery. Aussie Glen Richards will be the team’s official test rider.
