LESS THAN A week before the Simpson Desert National Park closed due to the life-threatening summer temperatures, APC Rallymeister John ‘Homer’ Hudson rode his KTM 990 Adventure across Australia, setting a new transcontinental record in the process.
Starting in Steep Point, WA, Hudson rode 5800km to Cape Byron Lighthouse in NSW in 70 hours 34 minutes, trimming 1 hour 36 minutes off the 2014 record set by Scott Britnell.
